and oh god how scared must he be that his dad might die and he can’t tell him that he loves him or how much he means to him or that he’s so sorry for all those things he sees his dad blaming him for and look at his face look at his face he is fucking scared shitless he is afraid he won’t have enough strength and he may never speak to his father again and it’s like you can see his world ending

Don’t forget that when Matt shot Scott and Papa Stilinski couldn’t see what happened, he shouted for them both, and shouted Scott’s name first.

The whole episode bothered me because his dad is losing so much faith in Stiles that he’s gotten to a point where Stiles has to ask him to trust Scott because his dad doesn’t trust HIM anymore. Even with Stiles trying to find out who the kanima’s master was, and his dad thinking Stiles was doing it to redeem himself…it was like his dad blames himself for how Stiles is turning out. What if part of the reason he wasn’t so mad at Stiles about getting fired was because he hoped that MAYBE they could spend more time together… that maybe he could help Stiles with whatever has taken up his time so much.

Just think about when Stiles was paralyzed by the kanima. His dad thought Stiles was lying to him and he probably knew something else was going on but he let it drop. That was the first hint, and with everything after that— Stiles clamming up, getting that restraining order put on him, disappearing at odd hours without a word to where he’s going, getting beaten up and acting like it was no big deal (when I’m sure when Stiles was little he let his dad take care of the bullies).

I wouldn’t be surprised if his dad thinks Stiles is involved in some bad shit and he’s just praying that his assumptions and detective-style guesswork are all wrong. Despite that, he still can’t bring himself to trust Stiles without Scott backing him up. Because where Scott is seemingly becoming a better, more mature person… Stiles is getting more and more distant by the day.

but this is some of THE BEST character development we’ve seen for John in A REALLY LONG TIME

last time we saw him, he was sort of reckless - willing to charge into situations without thinking about it

but now, even if Vriska is his friend, he’s recognized that she is dangerous alive

and it takes a lot of thought and courage to tell one of your friends that they can’t have something that is very important to them

Here are some *NEW* Sterek related things to keep focused on so that you don’t find yourself falling into the brawling and bickering that seems to arise each week here in the Sterek tag.

Derek will be relying more on both Stiles and Scott this season.

Although there haven’t been many Stiles/Derek scenes in the season so far (3x01-3x09), Sterek remains in Jeff’s mind when he writes.

Jeff is focused on “pleasing himself as a writer”, and is NOT opposed to doing Sterek if it works in the show.

As a piece of the Teen Wolf fandom, the Sterek fandom is definitely the strongest. Our ability to handle these stressful spoilers is pretty damn amazing. Remember that Sterek is still sailing as a brave and powerful ship.

Do not to let negative people fog your vision on the Sterek possibility.

At the moment, Sterek may not be clicking into the story-line, but that’s okay. We can deal. It’s something we’re going to have to come to terms with for the time being. Don’t let that kill your hopes for this amazing ship, though.

Episodes: 3x01-3x09 are supposedly finished so far, which means we still have 15 episodes left that have the possibility for more Sterek interactions.

Just know that Jeff, the cast, and MTVTeenWolf are NOT the cause for this whole “gay payoff” crisis. It is purely the faults of some interviewers and their poorly written articles about the upcoming season of Teen Wolf.

—-“Sterek hate in the Sterek tag”

Although the Sterek tag is typically filled with amazing fanart, fanfics, fangirling, manips and fanvids…occasionally there are idiotic pieces of rant material that trashes on Sterek.

Personally, I don’t understand it. It is almost like a KNOWN LAW OF TUMBLR & FANDOMS, to NOT post your negative insight on a ship in that ship’s designated tag. Some people do not seem to understand that, so we’ll just have to counteract their desperate ploys to rile people up.

If you see hate or something that upsets you, just click that little “hand/palm” symbol next to their post. This immediately ignores/blocks that blog from your view and you won’t be able to see any of their posts. It definitely helps clear up the hate. I think I blocked about 10-15 blogs a few weeks ago, and I haven’t seen hate in the tag since then.

Teen Wolf is coming guys!!! It’s probably going to mentally mess us up, but it’s worth it! I’m looking forward to surviving this season with the Sterek fandom. All the future fanart and fanfics will without a doubt kick ass!!!!

The thing that really stands out most to me is that Jeff Davis has gone from “I could be persuaded” to “if it fits the storyline, I could pull the trigger”. Now, this is basically the same idea - that he isn’t doing it right now, but it could happen in the future if he decided to do it, but:

1) He hasn’t stated it this clearly in a while.

2) The thought process of “could be persuaded” is actually a rather different thought process than “could pull the trigger” - the latter is an action that he is primed to take depending on circumstances (in this case where the storyline goes) while the former is a more neutral acknowledgement that if other people could take action (ie persuade) then it might happen. The storyline/trigger comment means he’s thought about it, about how it could happen, but it doesn’t fit his storyline right now. That’s actually a huge mental shift for him from when he said he could be persuaded.

I could be completely wrong here and he’s just phrasing it differently but meaning the same thing (although even then I’d comment that how someone chooses to phrase things is significant even if the person doesn’t realize it). Maybe it’s not as important as it seems in my mind, but that was something that grabbed my attention.
